“Hello,

My name is Nicole (McCormick) Swan, and I am a dedicated Costume Designer based in the vibrant city of Vancouver, BC. Over the past 13 years, I have enjoyed a multifaceted career, channeling my passion for costume design into diverse projects ranging from film, television, and commercials to museum exhibitions and theatre productions.

With a keen focus on historical costumes, I take great pride in meticulously crafting designs that authentically capture the essence of each period, ensuring a truly immersive visual experience for the audience. I have also found myself landing in the world of action movies. I immerse myself in the thrilling world of high-stakes stunts, intense fight sequences, and larger-than-life characters. Each costume I create must not only look visually stunning but also withstand the demands of intense physical activity. From tactical gear for secret agents to sleek superhero outfits, I strive to infuse every garment with a sense of authenticity and functionality.

I've always liked scripts with unique and stylish characters. Some movies and TV shows that have influenced my style are: Raiders of the Lost Ark, Back to the Future, Rushmore, Marie Antoinette, Saturday Night Live, Singing in the Rain, Blade Runner, Big Fish, and A League of Their Own.

Over the past couple years I have costume designed the highly anticipated SXSW 2023 selection, “With Love and a Major Organ.” Indie horror, “All My Friends Are Dead” starring Jade Pettyjohn and Jojo Siwa. Then rounding out 2022 I travelled to Malta for several months to design the latest installment of the “Sniper” franchise, led by writer/director/producer Oliver Thompson.”
